Monday Night Group are saddened to report the loss of long time member Alan Williams (known as ‘Will’) who passed away earlier this year.
Will had been a devoted member of Monday Night Group for many years since joining back in 2002. He had taken on many roles within the group, from on-stage playing parts such as ‘Captain Morgan’ in ‘Dick Whittington’ in both 2003 & 2012; and ‘Old King Cole’ in ‘Red Riding Hood’ in 2019, to directing our 2010 and 2011 performances of ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Red Riding Hood’.
In recent years, Will turned his hand to scriptwriting and was heavily involved in the writing and adapting of our scripts since 2016. He took great pride in producing the best scripts possible, for which MNG are proud of and will continue to use for many years ahead.
From pantomime to organising holidays with friends, Will was a great friend to many, both in Monday Night Group and out, and will be truly missed.
Alan Williams will remain firmly in the hearts of all of us at MNG as we continue to produce family pantomimes. His years of dedication to the group will not be forgotten.
