NEWS: Monday Night Group Celebrate 50 Years of Pantomime.

Last week the Monday Night Group met together to celebrate 50 years of the group. Many members, old and new, arrived for a meal, speeches, and partying at Wharton Park Golf Club in Bewdley. The room was decked out with photos from throughout the years of pantomime, and many memories were shared through the evening. We were proud to have one special MNG member with us for that night, as he was with the Monday Night Group from day 1 and is still an active member now 50 years later.

The Monday Night Group, which has been a registered charity since 1981, started at The New Meeting Hall in Kidderminster back in early 1967 and has continued since then. Over the next few years the group had a brief stint at the Rose Theatre, before taking residence at The Civic Hall in Stourport in 1975, where it has stayed ever since. Over the half century of shows the group has given away a whopping £425,000 pounds to local community groups, organisations and charities.

Our next pantomime is ‘Puss In Boots’ in January 2017. The preparations are well and truly underway, with the casting completed as well as other items being organised ready for our 51st year entertaining the community and raising money for good causes! Tickets are available to book now. Thank you for your ongoing support, and hope to see you all next year.
